After
selecting
its President following the AGM last month, href="https://www.dqweek.com/b-hari-takes-over-as-the-new-compass-president-2">Compass
has
finalised its office bearers besides selecting the various Chairmen
of the Committees last Wednesday. With
B Hari featuring as the President of the association, Compass has
selected Gopal Pansari of Rashi Peripherals as the VP followed by
Rajiv Poddar of Computer Centre as the Secretary. This is followed
immediately by Rajan Keshan of Cine Photographic Agency as the
Treasurer and Manoj Jain of Ishika Technologies as the Joint
Secretary. Besides,
the Chairmen list has been finalised with Pradeep Biyani leading the
famous Exhibition Committee and Pawan Jajodia selected to lead the
Grievance and Legal Cell. However, this time, Compass has
incorporated new faces in the list and has focussed on software
besides the regular concentration on hardware and trading. In a
dramatic move, Hemant Chabria has been selected as the Chairman of
e-Compaper. The premiere news-quarterly of Compass, Compaper, has
been shifted to the online edition available at the Compass website.

Following
the
saga of raids initiated by one of the software majors, Compass
has decided to cooperate with software majors and has thereby made a
new committee to handle software issues and popularise the use of
genuine software. The new committee, Anti-Piracy Committee is to be
led by Amit Sharma of Dynavision. “ face="Calibri, serif"> face="Times New Roman, serif">This
year, expansion of Compass premises is one of our prime
considerations and we are looking forward to acquire a plot in New
Town or Salt Lake area for a new office,” Pawan Jajodia,
Spokesperson, Compass said.
