COMPASS 2013 on its way

Finally, with sleeves rolled, preparations are in high fervor. COMPASS 2013 -The Mega IT & Technology Fair Curtain Raiser event took place on 25th October, 2015 at The Park Hotel. Despite heavy rainfall choking half the city, the event was a success. With high footfall, the event witnessed attendance from vendors to OEMs who showed keen interest in participating in the upcoming fair.

COMPASS IT Fair attracts maximum attention in the entire eastern region and sees high profile attendees and participants in the field of software, hardware, entertainment and IT peripheral products and services brands.

Already into its 16th year, this annual event will take place from 20th - 23rd December, 2013 at the Kolkata Milan Mela Grounds (opposite Science City). This was announced by Pawan Jajodia, the newly-elected President of COMPASS in Kolkata. Jajodia emphasized on the unique touch that is being given to the expo this year. A mega gaming competition is arranged to involve students and educational institutes to get the best out of ‘the man and machine'. "We are confident that our gaming competition would draw a huge crowd of all ages and expose them to a new level of technology," adds Jajodia.

This year's theme being ICE - Information, Communication & Entertainment, COMPASS 2013 aims to go beyond the traditional hardwares and softwares to include the next generation of experiences by including the new crop of gadgets and gizmos. On this note, Sanjay Chhajer, chairman, Exhibition Committee, COMPASS 2013- The Mega IT & Technology said that there will be "a confluence of technology and user experience". With this theme, COMPASS plans to celebrate coming of a new IT era.

Growing exponentially y-o-y, COMPASS 2013, will also host interactive seminars and discussion by high names of the industry. The interactions will revolve around cloud computing, storage, virtualization and more.
