Amidst much fanfare and glitz, power conditioning solution specialist Compact Systems has launched its new technology series called Compact PowerOn Triple Conversion series, in the market. To start with, the company has introduced 1 KVA range of products and in the next stage, it would bring in 2 KVA model. Compact PowerOn is a triple conversion microprocessor based intelligent online UPS system and according to the company, this is first-of-its-kind technology product in the market.
The company has formally launched this new series in its recently held channel meet in Chennai.
The PowerOn Triple Conversion series has a unique power factor correction feature which assures quality standard output without any distortion. "The other special features of the product include SNMP compatibility, large LCD display, smart overload and short circuit protection, DC start, dual-protocol Smart RS-232 port etc," said R Aravindan, Director, Compact Systems (P) Ltd.
The PowerOn Triple Conversion 1 KVA model is priced Rs 35,000 and according to Aravindan, "Although this product is not meant for the volume game market, but it ensures Compact's commitment to bring latest technology product in to the market," he said. The company expects to move out 15 to 20 machines per month in this category. Compact has a channel network of 300 business partners across the country and plans to appoint distributors in Bangalore and Calicut shortly.
When asked about 700 VA UPS would become the entry-level UPS, Aravindan quipped, with growing multimedia features in the PC system, 700 VA is sure to become the entry-level product shortly but it has to have a much higher battery capacity than what is available now.
The company has registered a turnover of Rs 9 crore last year and projects Rs 12 crore for the current
fiscal.
