Pune-based Computer Media Dealers Association (CMDA) has announced its plans
to launch a magazine in the first week of May. CMDA Times, as the magazine would
be known, will have technical write-ups, give information about new products
launched, and the achievements of CMDA members, besides adverts.
“Various dealers and vendors have already advertised in CMDA Times. The
magazine would update our members and partners across Pune about the trends,
technologies, product launches, activities and events that CMDA holds regularly.
It would also help us highlight the achievements of our members,” shared Sunil
Gugale, President, CMDA, Pune.
The issue will be a monthly feature with around 50 pages. Besides CMDA
members, it will be distributed to around 2,000 other partners in Pune free of
cost.
CMDA Times would serve as a revenue generator for the association. “We have
outsourced the contract to an agency on a revenue sharing basis and have signed
a three year agreement for the same,” explained Gugale. To promote the magazine,
CMDA has sent mails to all its partners in Pune informing them about its content
and availability.
The association is also planning to launch CMDA-ABEE Cricket Team shortly.
The team has been sponsored by ABEE Computers for the duration of three years,
and will give around Rs 1.5 lakh to CMDA to support the team. “CMDA-ABEE Cricket
Team will participate in local and private tournaÂments in Pune and neighboring
regions. The team will have CMDA-ABEE branding on players' T-shirts, caps, etc,”
said Gugale.
