CMDA elects new team for 2012-13

Computer & Media Dealersʼ Association (CMDA) Pune elected its new team for the term 2012-13 in the recently held Annual General Meet (AGM) in Goa. Jayant Shete was elected as the new president. The association, for the first time, held its election outside Pune. A total of 118 members attended the AGM, of which 74 members attended the AGM via train arranged by CMDA.

Computer & Media Dealersʼ Association (CMDA) Pune elected its new team for the term 2012-13 in the recently held Annual General Meet (AGM) in Goa. Jayant Shete was elected as the new president. The newly elected president Shete, while presenting the budget for 2012-13 said, "CMDA will continue to focus on BI forum and distributor forum activity, new family events, sponsorship, charity, issue of e-waste and service related issues apart from all the activities of last year." He also added that the committee will work harder to keep the #1 position and also make CMDA more stronger and beneficial for every member. He thanked all the members, past presidents, and advisory for giving him the opportunity to serve CMDA.

The other elected office bearers for 2012-13 are Deepak Agarwal, secretary; Ratnesh Rathi, VP; Bharat Gopujkar, treasurer; Anirudhha Menavlikar, joint secretary; Chintamani Lele, joint treasurer.

The other highlight of the meet was presentation and approval of Balance Sheet for the year 2011-12 tabled by Bharat Gopujkar, treasurer. Narendra Modi also presented the internal audit report. Also, secretarial report for the year 2011-12 was presented by Ratnesh Rathi, secretary. Besides election of office bearers and induction of seven new committee members, a three-member advisory committee was also formed.

On the lighter side, CMDA members celebrated the '#1 IT association' title by a cake-cutting ceremony. A livewire entertainment program was also organized which was thoroughly enjoyed by all the members. Another important part of the meet was that Digisol took CMDA members for a visit to its Goa factory. Members were shown complete operation on the shop floor and state-of-the-art machines used to manufacturer motherboards and other products.
