CMDA conducts Sports Day

Pune-based Computer and Media Dealers Association (CMDA) recently conducted its Sports Day, wherein almost 250 channel association members attended the event.

CMDA Sports Day is the second family event next to Diwali Mela to witness such a huge turnout. The event was held in S P College Ground on 17th February. This year the association introduced a new concept similar to IPL format in cricket called CMDA-Intex Premier League.

Deepak Agarwal, secretary, CMDA said, "Intex was the main sponsor and their entire team participated in the tournament. The company has expressed its desire to sponsor the event again next year." For cricket match 8 teams with 8 players in each team participated. In addition, kids' cricket match was also organized. Agarwal said, "We had invited Maharashtra ex-Ranji Player, Shantanu Sugwekar as guest of honour for price distribution." He further added, "Apart from the winner trophy, best batsman, best bowler, best fielder, Gold and silver medals for kids match were distributed at the event."

CMDA also organized Badminton tournament where about 35 entries were received from members and family. In addition, fun games were organized for family and kids where the fun activities were conducted by the event management company. The fun activities included Blind mine field and clutch the chicken activity, dragon tail activity, treasure hunt, photo studio (new crazy dressing game), dumb charades, football-cricket, and pirates (cap shuffling game).
