Cloud can expand customer base of Vadodara partners: Microsoft

Technology is always latest on Cloud and if partners provide Cloud based services to their customers it will certainly expand their customer base, said Mr. Hrushikesh Desai, Cloud specialist, Microsoft during Vadodara Tech Caravan event.

The DQ Week’s Tech Caravan event was organized in association with Microsoft in Vadodara on 22nd September, 2014. Highlighting benefits of Office 365, Mr. Desai said that it abolishes maintenance cost of midsize business enterprises.

Mr. Desai said that Office 365 provides manageability, flexibility, security and control and saves cost and energy. He said that Office 365 is a platform that supports operating systems like Windows, Android and OS. Its four major components: Office, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online and Lync Online provide higher productivity and reduce cost of expenditure.

Highlighting on the point of flexibility, Mr. Desai said that Exchange Online gives users single sign-on access to email, calendar, contacts, and tasks from PCs, the web, and mobile devices.

Lync Online enables people to connect anytime and from virtually anywhere by delivering the collaboration capabilities of Lync Server 2013 as a cloud-based service, he said.

He said that SharePoint Online enables an organization to easily create and manage custom team-focused and project-focused sites for collaboration.

Mr. Desai also informed partners that Microsoft is currently running 50 per cent discount offer on Office 365. He also introduced Microsoft’s distribution team in the event and appealed partners to approach them for any assistance.

Mr. Abhijit Yardi, Head SMB-Gujarat, Microsoft was also present in the event. He informed partners that various licenses are available in Microsoft such as COM, Volume licenses and Cloud. He said that there are several benefits of doing business with Microsoft. He appealed partners to approach Microsoft for all kind of assistance.

There were quite a few queries raised by the partners which were aptly addressed by representatives of Microsoft during networking over dinner.
