The DQ Week Tech Caravan reached the beautiful city of Taj Mahal, Agra, on April 18. Organized in association with the two apex bodies of computer traders of Agra ie Agra Computer Association (ACA) as well as Agra Computer Traders Association (ACTA), the event witnessed an august gathering of the city's top 70 channel partners at Hotel Atithi.
The major highlight of this event was that The DQ Week played an instrumental role in bringing together the two associations at one single platform for the first time. It was heartening to see the dignitaries of both the associations not only sharing the dais but also sharing a common agenda of 'unity in diversity'.
Apparently, Anand Prakash, president, ACTA, urged the members of both the associations to form a single association and work as a single entity for the betterment of the IT market of Agra.
Echoing his views on the same, he said, "We can do a lot for the IT market in Agra. But there is a need for a unity amongst us. In my opinion, there should be a single association of IT traders of Agra."
Vipul Garg, spokesperson for ACA, not only highlighted the activities undertaken by the association but also brought out the major issues plaguing the local IT market. As an apex body of partners in Agra, ACA is involved in various social activities like arranging blood donation camp and donation of PCs to government schools, etc. Besides, it also plays an instrumental role in resolving issues between the partners and vendors.
Garg also chose this occasion to point out that the major concern for partners of Agra is profitability and the whole IT market has to be united in order to overcome this problem. On the same lines, Prakash urged The DQ Week to highlight the problems faced by the IT market of Agra.
Meanwhile, both the associations are working closely for the beautification of Sanjay Place, the IT hub of Agra and creation of an IT park in the city. In fact, a delegation of partners will soon be going to meet Akhilesh Yadav, CM of Uttar Pradesh to revive this old project.
Vendors like Norton and Portronics, who were associated with Agra Tech Caravan as sponsors, showcased their products and solutions to the assembled delegates. While Portronics displayed its plethora of interesting products like portable projectors, scanners, and smart TV converters, Norton also announced a channel scheme for the partners present at the event.
