In its general body meeting, Coimbatore
Information Technology Association (CITA) elected two of its members
as Confed-ITA Executive Council Members. R Mahesh of Ozone Computers
and President of CITA and Rajanikanth of Microsystems were elected
for the year 2011-2012. The association has also discussed many issue
areas and brought out probable solutions. Mahesh said, "We are
grateful to our fellow members and will do justice to the role."

The association has also undertaken a
step in accounting all the expenditure incurred by the board of
members. All expenses need to go through a validation process to
identify if it is beneficial for all the members or only a particular
section of members. Based on this validation funding will then be
decided. Mahesh elaborated, "The corpus fund collected by the
associations should be used judiciously. If an expense is incurred
towards the benefit of all the members, only then the funds should be
taken from the corpus fund. This way members will not feel that their
funds have been misused."

The decision was taken unanimously by
all the board members. This decision will be applicable not only for
the current board but also for all the future board members. Mahesh
concluded, "We implore other associations also to implement this
decision. They can modify according to their requirements, but
overall it will benefit partner community."
