Cisco to host Retail 2005 in Mumbai on April 15

Cisco Systems has announced its first industry specific event in the country-Retail

2005. To be held on April 15, 2005 in Mumbai, the half-day summit will focus on

how innovation and technology will help in reaching customers effectively in an

ever-changing retail sector.

According to the press release, targeted at the retail services community,

Retail 2005 will provide value to CEOs, COOs, CIOs, business managers and

investors by helping them quantify and qualify their investments, and understand

the key business drivers of the retail industry in the future.

Three international speak-ers from Cisco's Internet Business Solutions

Group (IBSG) would be present to discuss global trends in the retail industry,

with specific emphasis on challenges, opportunities and technolo-gies relevant

to the Indian business environment. IBSG is a consulting team that works with

customers to transform their organizations, generate new revenue opportunities,

create new capabilities, and drive industry change.

Commenting on the event, Jangoo Dalal, Senior VP-Enterprise, Cisco Systems
