The Chilean Government cited irregularities and cancelled $70 million,
10-year contract awarded to TCS.
A probe was launched to look into the alleged irregularities committed by a
couple of TCS employees, barely a day after the firm won the contract from a
government arm through a tendering process.
“Both the employees involved were locals and were asked to go on
administrative leave till the matter was cleared,” said N Chandrasekaran, COO
and Executive Director, TCS.
The names and designations of these two employees were not immediately known.
According to S Ramadorai, CEO and MD, TCS, the contract was awarded after
evaluation.
