The legend Pt Ravi Shankar lives on

Mourning the maestro's death channel partners expressed their grief to The DQ Week

Great Indian sitarist Pandit Ravi Shankar, who enthralled people with his immortal music for past many decades, recently passed away in a San Diego hospital after a long illness. Born in the year 1920 the legend was 92 years old when he left for heavenly abode on December 11.

Pandit Ravi Shankar was awarded the three highest national civil honors of India: Padma Bhushan in 1967, Padma Vibhushan in 1981, and Bharat Ratna in 1999. Mourning the maestro's death channel partners expressed their grief to The DQ Week.

Saket Kapur, director, Green Vision said, "I am sure India has lost a world-famous musician, who brought laurels to our country. It is a great loss to our country, as a person of his stature come only once in a century."

Rajarshi Ghosh, director, Epitome Convergent Networks from Kolkata also shared similar feelings with Kapur. Expressing his grief he said, "It is a great loss to our country. Ravi means Sun; hence we can say that India has lost its Sun today. His creations would be alive forever, but it indeed is an irreparable loss to the country."

On a similar tone, Kanpur based Yogesh Agarwal, director, ACP Distributors also mourned Ravi Shankar's death and said, "It is s great loss to our country. I am sure this place will remain vacant for many years to come."

It is indeed a great loss to the nation and to the world of music. However his creations will live forever.
