CG-CoreEl targets defense sector market

Pune based technology company, CG-CoreEl Logic Systems Ltd, that provides
products and services in embedded technology, computer telephony integration (CTI)
and convergence has set its sight on the government research organizations in
the country and is banking on this sector for growth.

Tarun Mukherjee, Executive Director, CG-CoreEl Logic, believes that this
could turn out to be a promising market for the company. "We have been
working with various government organizations in the past, providing mission
critical products. The value of orders currently in hand amounts to Rs 49 lakh
for products and services in the area of embedded technology," he said.
According to him, the defense budget for embedded technology alone stands at Rs
900 crore thus, providing a unique opportunity for the company.

CG-CoreEl has completed orders for Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO),
for tailor-made embedded products for space applications. The new order is worth
Rs 49 lakh. CG-CoreEl has gained work from Armament Research and Development
Establishment (ARDE)–a defense research organization for developing mission
critical products worth Rs 17 lakh. Mukherjee said that work keeps coming on a
regular basis since the need is very high for embedded technology products.

The product suite of CG-CoreEl includes the digital voice logger, IVR
solutions, VMS suite and Line protection unit. Voicelogger - the flagship
product has been provided to a number of banks including Bank of Punjab and
State Bank of Patiala.

"Once we gain expertise in the domestic market and create a brand name
for ourselves, we shall approach the overseas market. This should happen in
about two years," Mukherjee said.
