Canon, India's leading Digital Imaging Company has announced that it has appointed five Senior Managers to bolster the company's sales and marketing initiatives across the country.
As part of this organizational strengthening exercise, Canon India appointed Shyam Sunder as Manager (Digicam Products), Rajeev Singh as Senior Manager Marketing (Consumer Information and Imaging Division), Som Gangopadhyay as Senior Manager Marketing (OSS Volume Products), Siddharth Barthakur as Manager (Consumables Marketing) and Anand Rahalkar as Senior Manager (Projector products). The new appointments are in line with Canon's focus to grow market share in new categories and develop a sharper customer orientation by having a segment centric marketing approach to penetrate deeper for its digital imaging products in India.
Canon India has also recently restructured its business into two product categories (Volume and Value products). This restructuring has helped Canon significantly enhance the value addition it provides to its customers. The company has strengthened its Channel network and has an established base of four distributors, 200 corporate dealers, 78 city wholesalers, 13 retail stations and 1,800 IT resellers across the country.
The company has also enhanced its sales organization to have 67 sales personnel engaging with channel every single day.
Expressing satisfaction at these appointments, Alok Bharadwaj, Director and GM, (Consumer Imaging and Information Division & Volume products), Canon India Pvt. Ltd, said, "Canon India's focus for the coming year is the Indian SME market, which is the fastest growing segment of the Indian domestic IT market. These appointments are expected to help us re-invigorate our channel marketing infrastructure and grow our market share across these product categories across the country. We have also expanded our sales team and now there would be dedicated specialists on consumable, digicam, fax, copiers, printers and projectors. Apart from this, there would be teams focusing on developing channels for corporate segment and photo segment"
