Canon hosts 'Wings of Glory 2010' in London

India rewarded its top-performing channel partners in its 8th
annual
'Wings of Glory 2010' program by taking them for a six day excursion
to London. The program acknowledged those partners who did a business
of more than Rs 2 crore with Canon annually.

Under
this program, Canon rewards the top 70 partners across channels for
all its product categories. The aim of this unique program is to
build deep involvement, high motivation and bonding of Canon and its
partners with a special relationship of collaborating in an
environment, which aims to do business with pleasure. Canon India's
President, CEO, Senior VP, and Directors across all the businesses
were a part of this trip. Canon also invited the spouses of the
partners to join this trip, to build and nurture a better bond.

Commenting
on the purpose behind organizing this event, Alok Bharadwaj, Senior
VP, Canon India said, “Our initiative, 'Wings of Glory' seeks
to acknowledge the top performing partners of Canon for their year
around hardwork and to motivate them to outperform themselves each
year. This event is Canon's annual property that focuses on growth
and business benefits of their valued partners. The partners found
this concept inspirational and encouraging.”

This
event motivated the partners to continuously improve their
performance. The rewards helped to recognize their efforts and
strengthened the bond between Canon and its channel partners.

The
three divisional heads namely, VP Sajeevan, Consumer System Products,
Canon India, Shunichi Senda, Image Communication Products, Canon
India and Rajeev Tewari, Business Imaging Solutions, Canon had
sessions with channel partners during one of the days.

The
partners also got a chance to visit Madame Tussauds, The Tower of
London, witnessed the change of guards at Buckingham Palace, saw the
Windsor Castle and Oxford University. They also shopped at Oxford
Street, cruised on river Thames, saw London through London Eye and
enjoyed some of the key tourist attractions of London.
