To reward its top-performing channel partners from the Wings of Glory–‘January to June 2003’ scheme, Canon India took 45 channels partners to foreign lo-cales in Europe and Mauritius.

As part of this recognition program, 15 ‘super achievers’ from Canon’s channel partners visited Switzerland and France, while a second batch of 30 high performing channel partners visited Mauritius.

The first batch of 15 super achievers was led by Alok Bha-radwaj, Director and GM (CIID and Volume Products), Canon India, and were taken for a five nights and six days trip to Swit-zerland and Paris on the night of August 10, 2003.

The second channel tour which was led by Som Gango-padhyay, Senior Marketing Manager (Office Systems and Solutions) left for a four nights five days trip to Mauritius on August 22.

Wings of Glory is a recogni-tion program over and above the incentive programs, where Canon partners win points on Canon products and score ben-efits. Partners who clocked 400 or more points in the H1 chap-ter of the Wings of Glory sch-eme qualified for a trip to Switzerland while those who scored more than 250 points qualified for a trip to Mauritius. From among those who quali-fied, the top scorers are reco-gnized for their sterling performance.

Sharing the rationale behind organizing such events, Bharad-waj said, “Offsites such as th-ese, help Canon in establishing a closer bond with its partners and in understanding their needs better.”
