CA World 2008 to enable innovation & growth in IT

CA announced plans for CA World 2008, November 16-20, 2008, at The Venetian
Congress Center and Sands Expo in Las Vegas, Nevada. CA World 2008 will bring
together CA customers, business partners, and employees from around the world to
exchange IT management strategies for transforming IT from a cost center into an
enabler of innovation and business growth.

This year's guest keynote speaker is Jack Welch, former Chairman and CEO of
the General Electric Company (GE). During his 20-plus year tenure as CEO, GE's
market capitalization rose from $13 billion to $400 billion. Welch will speak on
November 17.

CA World also will feature keynote addresses by John Swainson, CEO, CA and Al
Nugent, Executive VP and CTO.

Attendees will be able to choose from more than 800 conference sessions in
such critical areas as application performance management, data center and
workload automation, governance, infrastructure mana­gement, mainframe and
multi-platform application development, security management and service
management.

This year, CA is featuring three symposia designed specifically for different
types of event attendees:

  • The Business Mana­gement Symposium will address the strategic issue of
    leveraging IT for greatest business value, which confronts CIOs and senior IT
    executives.
  • The IT Management Symposium will address the productivity and optimization
    challenges facing VPs, directors, and senior managers.
  • The Channel Partner Symposium will address the market penetration and
    profitability objectives of resellers, integrators, and other business
    partners.

Attendees also will have access to hands-on labs, education courses,
technical 'campgrounds,' and solution-specific user group meetings.
