BVICAM hosts seminar on Information Security

Bharati Vidyapeeth's Institute of Computer Applications
and Mana­gement (BVICAM) con­ducted a-day-long semi­nar on 'Information
Security', in assistance with Bharati Vidyapeeth CSI Students' branch, New
Delhi and CSI Delhi Chapter

During this seminar MN Hoda, Director, BVICAM highlighted
the need of developing the trust for information infrastructure so that the
critical e-transac­tions can be executed without fear.

The seminar was spread over three technical sessions ML
Srinivisan ,Chief Techno­logy Officer .Secure Matrix Pvt Ltd highlighted the
need of right kind of vulnerability assessment procedures with reference to the
standards like BS 7799 and ISO 27001. Dr CR Chakravarti, Former Director, SAG,
DRDO intro­duced the concept of crypto­graphy in details. He also presented an
analsysis of the efforts required for crypt analyst, if 256 or 512 bits of PKI
is followed. The sessions were chaired by Sanjay Bahl, Chief Security Officer,
TCS

The seminar was attended by about 400 delegates from all
across the NCR
