BSNL has social outlook

PP Khare, Chief GM, MP Telecom Circle, said that BSNL has a "social outlook instead of a commercial outlook". Khare was inaugurating the C-DoT Digital Telecom Center at Hoshangabad. Khare added that BSNLs aim was mainly to render a service to consumers while multinational companies have mostly business motives behind their operations. The C-DoT center at Hoshangabad has been set up at an outlay of Rs 1.5 Crore as part of equipping all telephone exchanges with modern telephone facilities for better customer services. Out of 3000 telephone exchanges in MP, 1100 have already been connected with optical fiber facility, and while 1900 exchanges were to be equipped with optical fiber connection in a phased manner.
