Brother International, a Japanese electronics major, that had recently
launched its range of Mulitfunction Devices (MFDs) in the Indian market has
announced the ‘Brother J Class Privilege Partner (JCPP)’ program, with an
aim to reward consistent achievers. Under the scheme, one can become a member of
JCPP by participating in a points-based scheme, wherein channel partners from A
and B-class market are required to earn 1,000 points and partners from C and
D-class markets are required to earn 800 points to qualify. According to company
sources, 60 percent of the points have to be achieved in the next quarter
onwards to remain a member of this club. Points can be earned on purchase of
MFPs/fax distributor–Godrej, the national distributor for Brother in India.
Anand Kumar, Country Manager, Brother in India, said "Our objective is
to motivate and reward consistent partners thereby, we achieve our objectives of
increasing reach and penetration of our products. We are confident that the
channel will grab the opportunity and benefit through Brother products, thus by
enhancing our presence in the country."
Every point is worth Rs 10. Partners can redeem these points at the end of
every quarter, once they become a JCPP member. 50 percent of the points earned
will be redeemed in cash and the remaining 50 percent can be redeemed as
advertisement subsidy, which include expenses incurred by partners for
exclusively promoting Brother products through visible media like newspapers,
magazines, hoardings etc. All those who qualifies as JCPP member will also get
additional benefits, which will be announced from time to time.
With Godrej as the national distributor, Brother aims to have about 250
channel partners by the end of the year. The company along with God-rej will be
conducting focused channel and end user prog-rammes through multi-channel
promotions utilizing above the line and below the line methods.
