offices in New Delhi and Mumbai, to address the growing regional market

requirements for Storage Area Network (SAN) products and expertise in deploying

network storage infrastructure in IT data centers.

The company also announced that Shyam Gopal has been named country manager

for India. Based in Delhi, he is responsible for managing the company's

business operations and sales and marketing activities in the region. According

to the press release, Brocade plans to offer its comprehensive SAN education in

India. This education program includes the high-value Brocade Certified SAN

Professional program, and the unique SAN Health tool, which is a diagnostic

utility that documents and monitors IT resources in a SAN fabric.

"As one of the most popular regions —in the world for outsourcing IT

services, data centers in India are experiencing rapid growth, and with this

comes growing complexity," said Deb Dutta, VP of Brocade Asia Pacific.

"IT organizations are increasingly focused on reducing these complexities

to improve operational efficiency, which will in turn, drive demand for smart

SAN strategies," he added.
