Brocade names Edgar Dias as regional director

Based in Bangalore, Dias will deliver on the region’s revenue plan and drive overall growth for the company’s business in India.

Brocade has announced the appointment of Edgar Dias as regional director for India. Based in Bangalore, Dias will deliver on the region's revenue plan and drive overall growth for the company's business in India. He will report directly to Singapore-based Vice President for Asia Pacific (APAC) Charlie Foo.

A key responsibility for Dias will be to develop and execute strategies and programs designed to grow Brocade's IP and SAN businesses across a number of key verticals in India, including government, banking and financial services, and media and entertainment.

Dias was previously the regional director of Enterprise Business for APAC where he led the company's enterprise strategy and managed its direct-touch sales force. 

Prior to joining Brocade, Dias was sales director at Juniper Networks where he was responsible for its Campus and Data Center businesses. He also spent 10 years at Nortel Networks leading its data communications product portfolio across Asia, Middle East and Africa.

Over 12 percent of Brocade's global workforce is based in Asia Pacific with offices across the region including Greater China, Korea, Singapore, Australia, and in India with offices in Mumbai, New Delhi and Bangalore, as well as research and development centers in Bangalore and Pune. Its key customers in India include Polaris Financial Technology, Omega Healthcare and Reliance BIG Animation.
