TCS opens ODC in Hungary
Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) inaugurated its 24th global Offshore Development Center in Budapest, Hungary, to cater to the development work for customers in Europe. Certified by the GE assessment team as a trusted GE Global Development Center (GDC), TCS' Hungary center would house 100 software professionals by this year end, 80 percent of which would be local hires and the company intends to appoint 100 persons each year until 2005.
Opening of the TCS center at Budapest is expected to give a fillip to the Hungarian Government's efforts to bring in foreign investment. The work and quality practices and project management capabilities that will brought in by TCS will be TCS's major contribution to the local economy.
The center had received certification from the GE assessment team as a trusted GE Global Development Center (GDC) earlier this month. As the first TCS development center based in Europe, the Hungary GDC will target TCS European customers.
