BITA to the rescue of flood-hit Bihar

Bihar IT Association (BITA) has come to the rescue of estranged computer

dealers marooned in different districts of Bihar by floods. So far the

association has managed to collect Rs 1 lakh as donation from dealers across

Bihar. Contributions are expected to go up to Rs 5 lakh soon.

The entire logistics and communication have been brought to a standstill.

Electricity, telephone lines and mobile communication towers have all been

rendered unusable resulting in a total communication blackout.

Among the worst affected areas are Madhepura, Supaul, Araria, Saharsa, Purnea,

Katihar and Khagaria district.
