BITA conducts Garba Mahotsav in style

Baroda based Baroda IT Association (BITA), organized Garba Mahotsav 2013 in grandeur at Akota Stadium in Akota in the city from 5th to 13th October. This festive spirit was backed by the theme 'Technology meets Tradition'.

 Nitesh Gorasia, secretary of BITA said, "The results of the entire BITA committee members, steering committee members and association members has led to an excellent execution of this Garba Mahotsav. The entire association members have worked really hard to make this event a successful event."

Gorasia said, "We are getting more than 10,000 people participating on a daily basis. This year daily collection has been twice as compared to last year and so is the crowd participation." He further added, "The stadium has been jam packed everyday. We created a separate pavilion like the VIP pavilion for BITA members."

The association had roped in Soor Group headed by Shri Pankajkumar Goswami who is a well known multi-talented artist in the field of music and is a popular singer in this region who has been performing for more than 29 years. Apart from this, the association gave away daily prizes like laptops, tablets, speakers and many others gifts for categories like best dancer female and male, best dressed female and male and many more. Gorasia said, "This year we gave bumper prize like Videocon LED TV thrice on 3 different days." Another highlight was ‘Mataji ni maha aarati' using 6,000 diyas on Mahashtami.

This year BITA Garba Mahotsav has been selected as the second best garba event after the popular United garba held every year in Baroda.
