Election time for BITA

Baroda IT Association (BITA) is all geared up to conduct its 15th committee election on the 14th of April. Following which the association will conduct its Annual General Meet (AGM) by the end of April.

Baroda IT Association (BITA) is all geared up to conduct its 15th committee election on the 14th of April. Following which the association will conduct its Annual General Meet (AGM) by the end of April that will be attended by its members.

Commenting on this, Paurav Choksi of MAA Trading and the president of BITA said, "We will start this the new financial year and before we roll out the activities for this year, we have planned to conduct our election and AGM."

Post election on the same day, the existing committee members will hand over the account books to the new members. It will also review association's annual performance and achievements based on the balance sheet.

The association follows a strict guidelines with regards to the election. Elaborating upon this, Choksi said, "We only allow those members to stand for election who has renewed their membership with the association before 31st March, 2012. Also, only those members will be allowed to vote who have renewed by 13th April." Furthermore, according to the association, membership renewal is valid till the date of AGM and post that BITA will not accept any renewal form from existing members for the year 2012-13. The association is planning to hold the AGM in the last week of April and the dates will be finalized post election.

The existing managing committee includes Paurav Choksi who is the president, Sheth Jayendra who is VP, Rajeev Patel who is the secretary, Piyush Shah who is the treasurer and Indravadan Patel who is the joint secretary. Apart from this, the committee also comprises of immediate past president and 6 executive committee members. The association also has a steering committee comprising of 7 members.
