Baroda Information Technology Association (BITA) has appointed new office bearers for the year 2003-2004.
The new committee consists mainly of Dinesh Patel as the new president, Rajesh Mehta (VP), Amit Shah (Secretary), Rajendra Shah (Treasurer), Nilesh Shah (Joint Secretary), Yogesh Thakkar (Councilor) among others.
BITA has been actively involved with the Baroda channel last year by conducting seminars and also the BITA IT Show 2003. The association also conducted the Garba Mahotsava during
Navratri.
However, this year's agenda includes conducting at least six seminars on IT, telecom, BPOs and outsourcing. Infact in the coming week BITA has already planned to organize seminar on service tax and personality development.
"Even this year BITA has plans to organize its Garba Mahotsava in a big way as Gujurat Government is inviting 9000 NRIs to the state. There will also be business meetings organized with them. BITA is also planning its annual IT shows on January 26 on a large scale. We are also looking at setting up a BITA office in Baroda," stated Patel.
Additionally the association is planning a fun filled trip to Goa on August 15 2003 with the families of its members. Its also having its AGM on August 3 to review the association's agenda and also brief members on the newly formed Federation of Information Technology Association of Gujarat
(FITAG).
The association also has plans to take common woes of Baroda channel which are mainly replacement of products in time, price revisions of vendors, unwanted target pressures and also conflicting schemes.
