In its bid to reward its channels according to their performance, LG Electronics India Pvt Ltd has conducted an all India competition and Secunderabad based Bhumika Computers has bagged the first prize - a Maruti car. The draw was held on June 21.
“These awards were designed in such a way so as to recognize the efforts being done by our channels to sell LG products.
We are pleased to announce that Secunderabad based Bhumika Computers has got the Maruti car and we look forward to more of such schemes and competitions in the coming months,” said R Manikandan, Deputy GM, Sales & Marketing (IT Products), LG India.
Under the competition, the second prize - a Bajaj Caliber Motor Bike was bagged by Nasik based Export Trading Corporation and the third prize - a paid trip to Bangkok was bagged by Kapoorthala based Institute of Computer Technology.
“We have designed this scheme in such a way that a class A town reseller will qualify for having 2,000 points, a class B town reseller for having 1,200 points and a class C reseller for having 900 points. To our surprise we have got a really good response from the small cities and they have performed well,” he added.
The two month long competition attracted more than 3,000 resellers from all across the country and more than 80 qualified for the final round of this scheme. Overwhelmed with the response, the company has decided to continue with similar schemes and competitions in the coming months. “Every two month, we are having different schemes and all this is designed to encourage more participation not only from the big cities but also from the far flung areas of the country,” he explained.
