Bhoj Varsity starts online computer courses

Bhoj Open University has commenced seven online computer programs such as Java, HTML, Java script, computer language, foundation computer course, MS Word, and MS Excel.

This is besides the three other certificate courses that the university runs. The third educational FM channel of the country will also become operational by the end of this month. The vice-chancellor of the University, LK Joshi said that additional information would be available on the university website The application and registration forms can be submitted through e-mail, he said.

The fee for all courses is Rs 4000. The duration for Java course is nine months, HTML- six months, Java script- four months, computer language- three months, 45 days for the foundation course and 30 days each for MS Word and MS Excel. 

Joshi said that the University would soon start dispensing educational information through 'Gyanvani' FM radio channel program of the Open University. Bhopal stands third in the country in the implementation of the scheme, he said. Such channels were being run in Bangalore and Allahabad. The University has set up a studio at Hindi Granth Academy here with aid from Indira Gandhi National Open University. The studio will commence broadcasts by the end of the month. It will present lessons and educational programs.
