In a recent statement issued by Oracle,

Pramanik will replace Krishan
Dhawan as the MD, Oracle India. "We confirm that Krishan Dhawan,
Managing Director, Oracle India, has resigned from Oracle to pursue
other opportunities. The new Managing Director of Oracle India is
Bhaskar Pramanik, who was previously the Vice President, Global
Commercial Systems Sales at Sun," the statement said. As per
reports, Dhawan's stint as Oracle's India MD lasted for five years.
Early this year, the company announced that its acquisition of Sun
had been completed for a sum of $7.4 billion. According to Wikipedia,
Pramanik comes with more than 30 years experience in the IT industry
and prior to Sun, he held senior management positions in companies
like Digital Equipment India, Blue Star and NELCO.
