BenQ India has entered the mice market with the launch of its range of optical and mechanical mice. This heralds its presence in the segment of input devices. Tashi Gelek, MD, BenQ India, said "With the launch of mice, we will be able to leverage the gains made in the keyboard segment and utilize this effectively for penetration." BenQ also plans to introduce a scheme where it will be bundle an optical mouse along with the keyboard as a package. This step is in a bid to consolidate on its strong position in the keyboard segment and extend the existing range of products. BenQ has been able to penetrate the nook and corner of the country with its keyboards that has also gained good market acceptance across channels and the end-user for the superior quality, reliability and value for money proposition. In a step towards refining its current distribution strategy, BenQ has adopted the Regional Model of Distribution and is also in the process of identifying key distributors who could specialize in distributing individual product lines.
