Bengal IT delegation goes abroad

An IT delegation from Bengal (comprising top Govt officials and 15 Bengal

based IT houses) led by Manabendra Mukherjee, Bengal IT Minister, visited

Stockholm from March 7 — 9. The delegation had meetings with IT Foreta-gen,

the association of the IT Companies in Sweden, Swedish Foreign Office and

Swedish Export Trade Council.

Presentations were made in these meetings, bringing out the value proposition

of Kolkata as a preferred IT destination. The delegation also met 'Electrolux'

and 'Sony Ericsson' at Stockholm.
