Bangalore IT.com all set to showcase IT companies

Bangalore IT.com, the fourth international information and communications
technology event, will be held between October 28 and November 1, 2002 at Palace
Grounds, Bangalore. This year’s event is targeted at a larger audience
highlighting the emerging sectors within IT that include BPO, e-governance and
banking and finance.

Vivek Kulkarni, IT Secretary, Government of Karnataka, said, “Bangalore
IT.com 2002 promises to be the biggest ICT event in Asia. We have already got an
excellent response form companies and global governments to participate in the
event. It is our endeavor to facilitate companies and global governments to do
business in India.”

Bangalore IT.com 2002 has already drawn an excellent response with the
governments of Germany, UK, Sri Lanka, Korea, Japan, Belgium and Taiwan having
already confirmed participation.

The technology exhibits within the tradeshow will have several special
pavilions such as IT nations, country pavilions, software, hardware, telecom,
networking and infrastructure.

Cyber Expo, a division of Cyber Media has organized the show. Pradeep Gupta,
MD, Cyber Expo, said, “The show will be of international standards and we will
get more participants this year than previous years.”

The dates of Bangalore IT.Com 2002 have been changed from the earlier
announced dates of November 1 to November 5, 2002 to avoid clashing with Diwali
celebrations.
