Axis communications to concentrate more on channel strategy

Axis communication, one of the global vendor in manufacturing of network video solutions has planned to focus more on the channel strategy in the country through their various schemes and training programmes.

In an interaction with ‘The DQ Week', Sudhindra Holla, Country Head, Axis Communications (India),said, "Today many think that the concept of network video is only for monitoring purpose. However, beyond monitoring of people or area, today, the concept has been used for many things like traffic management, crime prevention, people and financial security in ATMs, crowd monitoring" He also added that Axis communication has brought many new features which caters to all the prospective clinets from a small grocery shop to a gaint tunnel. "Our cameras have very high definition and have more pixels which will display images of high quality even if it is maximized. Also, the cameras are cost-effective and can withstand any weather condition and will respond immediately for natural and man-made damage over the security system"

On channel stratergy:
Speaking on the channel strategy, he said, "Axis communications is completely a channel-dependant company and we have three national distributors for various segments. We have various rage of clients for various levels of deployments.", he Holla said further adding that the company has more than 1110 channel partners in the country. "Segregating the channels by region, we have 35% partners from South, 30% from West and 30% from North and we are focusing more in East nowadays", he said. On the channel schemes, he said, "We always conduct joint-channel activities with the channel partners and enhance them with schemes, training and we have deeper engagement with the channels through our Gold and Silver certification", he said. He also said that the company is looking for adding more number of partners who have clients for small and medium customers. "Many channel partners in the tier-2 and tier-3 region are reluctant to change to digital from the analog format. We have solutions which are much-easier for the channel partners for in terms of deployment, handling and storage", he said. He also said that the company is planning to conduct roadshows in cities Jaipur, Hyderabad, Pune, Jaipur, Chandigarh and Ahmedabad.
