natural evolution in our business model. When we acquired Ontrack, we always had

skill level of the team; we are now taking these attributes and deploying them

into our solutions distribution model.”

Jaideep Malhotra, VP and GM-India, Avnet Technology Solutions said, “The new

business will continue to serve the business partner community of India in a

proactive way, and we will also be working with our loyal customers to ensure

that they continue to receive superior customer service. What will be different

is that all business will be transacted through our business partners. Our aim

is to allow our partners to enter markets faster and with more skill, gleaned

through our value added services. This is an exciting time for Avnet and our

Indian team and our solutions distribution model will ensure that we remain at

the forefront of technology, the channel, our customers and our vendor

partners.”

Mukul Mathur, Director-Systems and Technology, IBM India and South Asia

Region said, “Avnet is one of our largest global distributors, and we are very

excited that they are going to market as a solutions distributor in India. Their

vast array of channel programs, coupled with their demand creation and technical

skills will help IBM create new channels to market.”

healthy competition with them, but with this new announcement, we will be able

to work with them on creating opportunities and bringing value to the customers

services.”
