Avaya, the structured connectivity solutions com-pany, has
launched its SYSTI-MAX First program in the country. Under this initiative, the
company will identify key SI partners, whom it further plans to accredit as
Authorized Business Partners (ABPs) and prestige business partners (PBPs). The
company recently accredited Mumbai-based Sigma-Byte Computers as its PBP and is
looking at engaging nearly 60 to 70 partners under this program.
"The business partners will have to meet stringent
criteria and would get some of their staff trained as certified SYSTIMAX
engineers. And, in order to further get recognized as a PBP, the partner will
have to successfully deploy a number of Avaya connectivity solu-tions,"
informed, Prasanna Kumar V, Sales Director- India and SAARC, Avaya India.
According to him, SI partners should seriously consider
connectivity solutions as a ‘window of opportunity’ thro-ugh which they can
offer other business propositions too to their customers.
The company is also looking at various strategic programs
like roadshows, seminars and campaigning to address the market in B and C-class
cities. "We are also trying to get more aggressive on the business in
government sector," added Prasanna.
