Athenta Technologies builds SIs network

Entered in June 2010,
Athenta Technologies, a new player in the network management space,
has started building its SIs network in India. Over the last few
months, the company has appointed 4 SIs in Gujarat, followed by Delhi
and Bengaluru. It will also appoint a Mumbai-based national
distributor in the next two months.

Speaking to The DQ
Week, Rajesh Paul, COO, Athenta Technologies said, “Before
establishing Athenta, we were working as large SIs. We have
understood the bottlenecks of SIs while deploying complex IT and
non-IT appliances in any organization and maintenance. Hence, we have
introduced customized solutions for SMBs, and enterprises sector,
which is 'plug n play' in nature, requires minimum maintenance and is
easily scalable.”

Athenta has a significant
experience of working across a number of industry domains
like-corporate sector, telecom, education, travel, financial
services and with the government and defense of India. “Through our
newly appointed SIs, we have done several proof of concept (PoC) at
local banks, government and defense sectors. Moreover, we are looking
at telecoms and BPOs as a major user for our products,” Paul said.

He added, “Although we
are relatively new players in the market, but our pilot projects have
gone very well. Going forward, our focus would be to expand our
footprints through our partners and bag larger projects.”
