ATD Automation to open Acer Service Clinic

ATD Automation Technologies Pvt Ltd is planning to open the first-ever Acer

Service Clinic for laptops and other products in Calicut, shortly. "It will

be the first-of-its-kind clinic. Presently, there is no Acer authorized service

center in Calicut and the customers have to go to Cochin or Bangalore to service

their laptops and other products. Now, with the opening of authorized service

clinic in Calicut, the customers will be relieved a lot," said Sudheer Nair,

Director of ATD Automation.

The company also owns another service center in the city called-PC Labs. It

provides service to all leading brands and mainly targets the home segment.

"Service is very critical to retain a customer and enhance your business.

We, at ATD Automation, give due importance to it. More than 40 percent of our

revenues come from service," he said.

ATD has recently opened a showroom in Calicut showcasing wide range of

products from Acer and other leading brands. Keeping pace with the latest trends

in the market, the company would be promoting mainly the LCD monitors and

laptops in its new retail showroom. Talking on this, Nair said, "There has

been a tremendous growth and demand for LCD monitors and laptops in the market,

over the last three months. The sale has increased by more than 50 percent and

laptops are gaining popularity among all segments, thanks to the mass campaigns

and initiatives taken by vendors."

In another remarkable development, ATD is planning to launch its own brand of

computers, shortly. Named ATD-CPC (CPC stands for 'Customized PC'), the

computers will be built as per the customers' requirements. "It is

totally customized and tailor-made. The PC will be on par with any other brand

in performance but, to be priced competitively in the market," he claimed.

ATD has been selling assembled computers aggressively in the market and in a

month, it sells over 50 machines. Its customer segments include government,

educational, SOHO and home, among others. "We want to keep growing and

moving on. ATD's next expansion would be setting up a multi-brand showroom in

the city. If things go well and as per our plan, it will be done shortly,"

quipped Nair.

ATD Automation has clocked a turnover of Rs 3 crore in the last fiscal and

expects to register a revenue of over Rs 3.5 crore this year.
