To strengthen its reach in India, especially in Tier 2 and 3 towns, Asus India will target 200 exclusive stores by end of 2013. At present, Asus India has 75 of its own stores across the country to let the customers have access to all its latest products and technologies. The store is managed by a partner under franchise model and will feature the entire range of notebooks and tablets.
Speaking to DQWeek, at a select channel briefing, Unaez Quraishi, director, sales and distribution, System Business Group, ASUS India said, "Asus has a dedicated sales team of 150 people who are working along with their partners to develop a profitable and sustainable business."
Keeping in mind the success of ASUS Lion's Pride Channel Summit" at Singapore, its incentive program for the channel around 6 months back, Asus has now announced its latest incentive scheme "Asus Giant Lion Pride Meet 2.0 Europe" to reward the best performers based on the purchase made from 1st April to 30th June'13 on the basis of volume business for their laptop range. Depending on the number of units sold, the incentive slab has been worked out starting with 120 units and a 3 night trip. And on the other end, those who sell up to 450 units (150 units month on month) will get a 6 night trip to Europe along with a partner. 170 odd partners have qualified as per the criteria and will travel to Europe in the month of September'13.
Compuage, who is the national distributor for ASUS, has also been appointed as their authorized service provider for its wide range of notebook and tablets, along with Digicomp. Service providers also include Rashi, Digicom, Neoteric and others which are placed at 60 different locations within 40 km range to provide customer services.
Keeping in line with its promise of "Inspiring Innovation, Persistent Perfection", Apratim Sharma, product centre head India, System Business Group also unveiled the Asus Transformer Book TX300-claimed to be world's thinnest Window 8 tablet and detachable Notebook.
Asus Transformer Book was released on 3rd July in India. It features a 13.3 inch full HD IPS display that has multi touch and 178-degree wide viewing angles. It runs on Windows 8 Pro and an Intel Core i5 processor for outstanding notebook and tablet performance. The device sports a front 720p HD and rear 5-megapixel camera to perfectly capture high-quality images and video chats. For storage, Transformer Book comes with separate 500GB high-capacity hard drive on notebook and 128GB ultra-fast SSD on tablet mode. The whole device has the same spun metal finish as the Zenbook. Asus claims that the notebook's unique finish and durability is the result of a 32-step manufacturing process.
Commenting on the launch of Transformer Book, Unaez Quraishi elaborated, "The ASUS Transformer Book is aesthetically crafted as per what people need and want. We are positive that the world's thinnest Window 8 detachable tablet cum notebook will stun the masses in the way it has been designed to. The Transformer Book is a new element of innovation and will strengthen our commitment to the market."
The ASUS Transformer Book is available at a MRP of Rs 91,999 across select ASUS authorized retail outlets. Asus had recently tied up with the soon to be launched latest movie of Shah Rukh Khan "Chennai Express" to launch the Asus Transformer Book.
