ASIRT conducts Techday

The ASIRT techday held recently was marked with a promise of new beginnings and partnerships for their member community.

BSA has partnered with ASIRT as platinum sponsor for sustained engagement to offer new opportunities for growth of ASIRT members' business. BSA SAM tool and practises coupled with Verafirm portal for software asset management allows ASIRT members to manage their own and their customers' software assets effortlessly. Kshitij Kotak, president, ASIRT said, "Audience realized the potential for consulting and software audit practice opening up a completely new area for business and profit growth through an entirely new stream till now not afforded to any other association across the country. Services earnings of members is bound to increase with this huge opportunity coming their way."

Microsoft, another ASIRT Platinum sponsor presented Windows Server 2012 with special emphasis on the different flavors and features. Earlier the same day, Microsoft also conducted technical training at Mumbai office of Microsoft for ASIRT members and their technical resources. Encouraged with participation at the events, Microsoft promised to return to December ASIRT Techday with another set of opportunities. Manish Lahoti specifically mentioned that Microsoft would be more than happy to conduct more technical training sessions for ASIRT members and their technical team. He also promised to arrange sessions for pre-sales consultants of members, including owners. This alone can augment business model for system integrators as members can better convince business value to customers.

ASIRT EVOLVE session by Professor Dr Pradeep Pendse, dean for IT/e-Business/Business Design Welingkar Institute of Management on The ART and Science of Solutioning and Understanding the Enterprise Context had members awestruck. Dr Pendse presented some great thoughts on innovation and many aspects of how SI s can differentiate themselves from competition. This session was an eye opener and gave invaluable tips on business management to the audience .

ASIRT members are looking forward to December ASIRT Techday as Microsoft will be training members on 'what business value does Windows 8.1 deliver'.
