Anyone could be using your password? The way to fight back could
be to become a certified ethical hacker and fight back
Pune-based Asian School of Cyber Laws (ASCL) promises to make
certified ethical hackers out of sixteen-year-olds and the old alike, with the
launch of ‘Clubhack’–a course in ethical hacking.
For the first time in India, the cyber law courses have also
been launched in Marathi. "We hope to launch these courses in several
Indian lan-guages, including Hin-di, Gujarati and Mara-thi by the end of this
year. If we receive a good response to these, the plan is to convert our courses
to as many Indian lang-uages as possible to make the courses avail-able to the
maximum number of participants," explained Shuchi Nagpal, Global Head
(Business Affairs), ASCL.
The certified ethical hacker course covers e-mail hacking, Web
hacking, password hacking, software hacking and cyber laws and ethics. "It
is a two month course and the fee is Rs 4,000. We have recently opened our new
admissions office and cyber center. We have also introduced a host of new
courses including one in cyber forensics and advance cyber crime
management," Nagpal informed.
The Marathi cyber law course will address issues such as cyber
crimes, cyber crime in-vestigation, e-governa-nce, e-drafting, e-cont-racts,
digital signatures and encryption and intellectual property issues. The first
batch of the ethical hacking course and the Marathi cyber law course has already
begun.
ASCL is an institute in the field of educa-tion, training and
