APW President Systems, a leading manufacturer of modular enclosure covering
all the segments of the electronics and data communication industry, is soon
launching an eLearning module to train its channel partners. "These are
scientifically designed modules which will enable channel partners to acquire
training on our products from anywhere in the world," said Pramod Agashe,
VP- Marketing, APW President Systems.
According to him, this eLearning module will have features to send
information online as and when the user takes the sessions. "These sessions
will be tracked or monitored by us, and on completion of the sessions the
company will give away certification to successful candidates," he added.
APW products are widely distributed and are made available through a strong
network of 10 regional distributors. "The wide geographical spread of our
partners across India was making it difficult to train partners on a regular
basis. An online eLearning process was the answer. This also helps us reduce
cost, save time and ease processes," said Agashe explaining the need for
such a system.
Currently, the company has around 25 percent of its business coming in
through the channels and the remaining 75 percent is done directly by the
company. The direct business also includes the OEM arrangements. However, in the
next few years, the company is planning to change the ratio to 50 percent: 50
percent.
Meanwhile, EA Elias, MD, APW President informed that the company has plans to
increase its focus on getting more contract manufacturing deals. "To fight
local competition, the company will continue to add value and maintain high
quality for its products," he added.
