Applications invited for Maharashtra IT Awards

This year on the Maharashtra IT day-August 20 - the Gover-nment of
Maharashtra will be presenting the Maharashtra Awards to the most successful
companies in the State.

Mitcon E-School is coordina-ting the event by inviting app-lications from
various IT com-panies. The awards will be pre-sented in six categories-IT
hardware, IT software, IT enabled services, IT human resource development, IT
infrastructure and R&D in IT.

A jury under the chairman-ship of Dr Vijay Bhatkar with Computer Society of
India (CSI) national executive director Deepak Shikarpur as the convener and
members from STPI, MAIT, NASSCOM, MIDC and Tech Cap India will scru-tinize the
applications.

Addressing a press confe-rence here, Dr Bhatkar appea-led to IT companies in
the State to participate in the selection process. The last date for the
submission of the forms is August 5, 2004.
