Apple unveils Final Cut Studio

Apple has unveiled Final Cut Studio, a HD video production suite that
features Final Cut Pro 5, an upgrade to the editing software for DV, SD, HD and
film. Final Cut Studio also includes state-of-the-art tools that complement
Final Cut Pro 5 such as Soundtrack Pro, a new audio editing and sound design
Application, Motion 2, a real-time motion graphics application with GPU
accelerated 32-bit float rendering; and DVD Studio Pro 4, a DVD authoring
software.

Final Cut Studio will be available in May through Premium Video Resellers
across India, for a suggested retail price of Rs 71,360. Registered users from
any previous version of Final Cut Pro can upgrade for Rs 39,800. Production
Suite customers can upgrade for Rs 28,390. Final Cut Pro 5, Soundtrack Pro,
Motion 2 and DVD Studio Pro 4 will also be sold separately.

Apple has also announced the availability of Shake 4, an upgrade to the
compositing software used by independent artists and visual effects facilities
to create the visual effects for film and television. Shake 4 features 3D
multi-plane compositing, optical flow image processing and integration with
Final Cut Pro 5.

Shake 4 for Mac OS X with unlimited render licenses will be available in June
in India for a suggested retail price of $2,999. The cross-platform version of
Shake 4 will be available for a suggested retail price of $4,999. The Shake 4
upgrade price is $999.
