According to sources, Apple Computer is going to introduce 'iPhone'

mobile phones in the first half of 2007 and might be looking for Taiwan OEM

partners to form a supply chain, just like they have for iPod. iPhone will be

equipped with MP3 player and 2 megapixel digital camera. Foxconn will continue

to be the assembly partner of iPhone, while iPod's suppliers may also

beneficial from this new product. Foxconn will start the shipment in February

with an average shipment of 500,000 to 600,000 units. Besides Foxconn, other

related suppliers of iPhone include Tripod and Unimicro, suppliers of flexible

circuit board for mobile phone, Entery for connector, Catcher for case, Seyen

for keypad, Largan for digital camera lens, and Altus for digital camera module.

In the near future, iPhone might not be able to contribute great revenue for

related suppliers. However, most suppliers still eye the long-term return of

investment.
