Mumbai-based APlus Computers, which was in news recently for not paying dues
to its partners in Mumbai, has now committed to pay the same within a year.
Mehul Gandhi, owner of APlus recently held a closed door meeting with members of
Trade Association of Information Technology (TAIT), and promised to start paying
dues starting next month.
The company owes close to Rs 25 lakh to as many as 17 channel partners, as
per the last count of TAIT. Gandhi is currently operating his business from
Dubai.
“We held a meeting with Gandhi this week, after some of the members
complained that he was not making their payments for the last nine months,” said
Pravin Dhoka, Spokesperson of TAIT. It is said that Gandhi's decision to shift
his business in UAE backfired, especially in view of the global slowdown, as a
result of which he made losses. But, now his business is said to be stable. He
promised TAIT committee members that he will soon start paying back the partners
in installments.
Despite several efforts to contact him, Gandhi refused to respond on the
issue. E-mails sent to him remained answered till the time of going to press.
The DQ Week also got in touch with Gandhi on his Dubai phone number, but he
refused to reply the queries on phone.
