APC launches Back UPS AVR Pro

American Power Conversion (APC) has launched the Back UPS AVR Pro for professionals. Targeting single PC users in the home and office segment, the Back UPS AVR Pro provides two new features - modem or telephone line protection and automatic shutdown software. The APC PowerChute plus software, bundled free with the UPS, automatically saves all data and files before shutting down the computer.

Priced at Rs 5,555, the UPS will be available through APC dealers and computer retail stores across the country. The APC Back UPS AVR Pro comes with a two-year warranty (that includes the battery) and is supported by a countrywide network of 69 authorized service centers.

The Back-UPS AVR Pro provides superior, full-time surge protection for your PC and provides instantaneous, uninterrupted battery backup during power cuts. In addition, it conducts an automatic self-test of the battery once every fourteen days of continuous operation and reports the status of battery.
