Ever since APC has launched its channel
enhancement program-Global Channel Landscape-the company has been
identifying the strengths of its partners and is aligning their
capabilities for customer needs. This is done through a tiered
certification structure for its varied datacenter product lines. The
program is aligned in such a way that partners are classified by
business environment. The company has a varied mix of partners
dealing in home/SOHO, business networks, wiring closet, server
room/datacenter (small, medium and large) and then by product
portfolio.

Gaurav Burnam, Director-Transaction
Business, APC said, “We believe in extensive partner training as
they are our key touch points with customers. Customers have multiple
options to choose from and are very prudent in their purchases. They
are the ones who give the final verdict regarding which solution or
service provider act accordingly. This makes it increasingly
important for the channels to build customer relationship and ensure
satisfied customers by making both pre and post-sales experience
enriching.” The program enriches the partners by training them
regularly on products and solutions. It also helps them supporting
through sufficient brand visibility, marketing campaigns and creating
the desired brand pull. Burman said, “Not only we assist partners
but we also support their customers through adequate after-sales
support.”

APC is ensuring that their channel base
is empowered to grow the business by giving them a wide and reliable
product portfolio, right training and prompt post sales service
back-up. The company is also focusing on leveraging and ensuring that
the program reaches out to partners in the tier-2 and tier-3 cities
as well.
