a brand of TPV India has launched
an All-in-One PC and a series of LED monitors in the Indian market.
The company is aiming at a Rs 700 crore business and will open its
first manufacturing facility in India. AOC is optimistic about the
business prospects and will continue to adhere to its existing
distributors and channel partners. Speaking to The DQ Week,
Mukesh Gupta, Director-TPV Technology Group, India, Middle-East
and SAARC, said that the company would primarily focus on the
existing 15 distributors and 2000 IT channel partners, and has set a
target of Rs 700 crore for business in India for its newly launched
products. "Besides the All-in-One PC, we will push the new LCD
TVs through the existing IT channel partners so as to give them a
fair chance to capitalize on it. We have a consolidated target of Rs
4,000 crore business over the next five years," added Gupta.
The company has come up with the new
All-in-One series in 22-inch and 19-inch models, and the former has a
touch screen, Intel Core2 Duo processor, NVIDIA graphics card and
webcam while the latter has an ATOM-based processor. "We are
planning to have a manufacturing unit in India in the next couple of
years, probably at a coastal location in India to facilitate
shipment," noted Gupta. The company currently has 14
manufacturing facilities worldwide, and the shipment for the new
products series is expected to arrive in May. "We have an
expertise in display. Until now, AOC has been a single product
company, and now we are foraying into All-in-One PCs and LCD TVs. All
our products carry a three-year warranty, and have a three months
replacement policy," he said. The company has 48 service centers
throughout the country.
Atul H Mehta, MD, Compuage Infocom, one
of the distributors of AOC products said that the company offers
extraordinary products, and has good after-sales services. "We
have a close relationship with AOC, and apart from the infrastructure
and investment, the company has a good marketing strategy,"
Mehta added. Reaffirming their faith in the company, Mehta said that
he would leverage the existing channel to sell the new product range,
and could increase the channel partners and dealers whenever
required. According to Saurabh Grover, Deputy GM-Sales, AOC is
targeting 50 stores in top 20 cities in the next six months, and has
a well-planned strategy to place All-in-One PCs at the right
counters. "We are predominantly, an IT company and have got a
lot of responses from the channel partners," concluded Grover.
