Amritsar association’s anti-OLS campaign has received positive reactions from in-market. The campaign has begun last month to create awareness among customers as well as partners against online activities.

As a part of the campaign over 300 posters were distributed and were pasted in each partner’s office all across Amritsar. The posters elaborately dealt with issues arisen by online purchasing like defective products, after sales service etc.

As large format IT companies started selling online its impact on offline channel became adverse gradually. Sandeep Sethi, general secretary, ACTA explained, “We partners, dealers had invested in our business and are an important part of building IT as an industry. Common dealers don’t have enough money to acquire space on giant portals or manufacture something new which large format companies are doing and that too through unethical price discrimination. Unethical online sales is one of the main reasons that dropdown in traditional IT.”
